Default Rumors

There are lots of rumors going on over at PSW about a new desk from somebody.

I sure would be happy if it was you guys coming out with something to waterboard the m7. I only put this here cause we all like a little tech gossip.

I think you will find it's probably an April Fool prank.

Digidesign have the mix rack system already that isn't a huge amount more than the M7, yet offers the same quality as the rest of the Venue range.

I don't see them trying to compete on the LS9 "budget" market, Yamaha have the distribution network to get those sort of consoles out, Digidesign Venue is about the quality end of the market, when you see who's touring and specing these consoles you can see why.

IMHO Venue is very cost effective, particularly when you compare it to things like the Digico, Yamaha PM5D, Soundcraft or the Midas XL8.

Regards

Roland

I would also agree it is probably an April Fool joke.

But it would be great if it were true. We're putting a Profile system in our church's main auditorium. Would be great to have a much smaller version for our Kids and youth auditoriums. We could train them there, and build them up to the Venue.

Might not be a joke. I was eluded to an "announcement" coming a a week or two from Digi.

I jusy hope it has some sort of file compatability with the main Venue line, that would be something NO OTHER manufacturer has done yet and would most certainly start a new era in cross platform console use.

Digidesigns' marketing plans aside your definition of not a whole lot more is apparently very different from mine.

You don't know what I paid for mine! Seriously I did get a particularly good deal, subject to the pound being strong against the dollar at the time and Digidesing being determined to do the deal with me.

I don't think it's a joke either, I know someone who's supposed to be showcasing it this month.
