Question about 12.7

Hello, I am a newbie to this, but I am currently running 12.5 and I would like to upgrade to the new 12.7. I see it is a new installer and not an update.

My question is if I install 12.7 will I loose any of my projects that I have in 12.5?

Also will I have to reinstall all my plugins (VST/Waves etc).

Simply uninstall 12.5(and the HD driver) and install 12.7. Nothing else will change, but make sure you have a license for 12.7 on your iLok first. Personally, I always(as in ALWAYS) have a backup plan and you should too. Best is to clone your system drive, swap in the cloned drive and update that(so if anything goes sour, you can replace the original drive and go back to work). At the very least, save a drive image of your system drive BEFORE any update

Thanks for the reply, but where do I go to see if I have the iLok for 12.7. I went into my iLock License Manager but I could not find any info.

This used to be such a Pro place...

I think you will have to surrender your 12.5 license. If you have the installer for 12.7 in your avid account, it's there then you have the rights to the license.
