Default Cannot recognize Digi Hardware - resetting firewire drives?

Hey all,
I am getting the dreaded "Cannot recognize digi hardware" error. In the past a digi rep walked me through a way to reset my firewire ports and that worked like a charm. I cannot for the life of me remember how to do that! I've already unplugged and replugged, restarted, zapped the P ram, etc. Nothing's working. If anyone knows how to restart the firewire/USB ports that info would be greatly appreciated. As would any other info!
thanks.

Default Re: Cannot recognize Digi Hardware - resetting firewire drives?

First thing I always do is use System Profiler to see what IT thinks is connected to the ports in question.

Here's a link to an Apple doc on the subject. Have you tried this stuff?

The wording of your error message makes me wonder if it's not a Core Audio driver problem, and not a firewire port problem, but try the above stuff first.

Best of luck,
Chuck
