Default mixer affecting sound quality?

I use a inexpensive Rolls 3- channel mixer between my Mbox output and my monitors (it's a work around for "mini-me" latency issues while tracking). Does this mixer affect/degrade what I'm hearing during mixdown? (fyi -"Mbox out" to "mixer in" - cable is 1/4", "mixer out" to "monitor in" cable is 1/4" to RCA)
