Default Finally Out Of Firmware Upgrade Mode

I had today off from work & called Digi Tech Support. They got me up and running again. I won't be checking the firmware version anymore. Now when I start PT I get the message "Pro Tools has detected a driver install error. PT will continue to launch but may be slow to begin recording". I notice that mmerefresh is not in the startup items anymore. Could that be the problem and how do I get it back? I've tried un/reinstalling PT and the drivers. I'm using MBox 1 & PT 7.0

Thanks
Tim

Hate to say this but maybe the solution is to reinstall everything from Windows on up. This is why I now keep a spare system drive. With hard drive prices so cheap, you get something like an 80 or 120gig for $49 and use a drive clone utility(like Acronis TrueImage) and clone your system drive when all is working good. Then when you do any upgrades, if it goes bad, you can install your backup drive in 10 minutes and be back where you were. This strategy has paid off twice already for me. Just an idea.

I suppose I can reinstall everything if that's what it takes. Should I uninstall everything or just reformat the drive and start from there. The only stuff on there is Win XP & PT Factory. I like your spare drive idea.

Thanks Tim
