DigiTech Support Needed
Mbox & ProTools were working fine until I decided to run Firmware Updater (No internet on this PC). After disconnecting then reconnecting the usb cable as requested all Mbox lights are lit except 48v. When I try to rerun updater I get the message "Error acquiring Mbox in upgrade mode". When I try to run ProTools I get the message "Unable to locate "Digidesign hardware". The connectors look good. Thanks in advance.

Re: DigiTech Support Needed
This is the Users Conference; though Digidesign reads and replies to these forums occasionally, if your need direct technical support (which you do), your best bet is to call tech support.

Re: DigiTech Support Needed
Can I update my firmware w/o being online by downloading the update to a different pc then transferring?

Re: DigiTech Support Needed
I already told you in your other post , the firmware update has nothing to do with being online. IT is an update between the computer and the Digidesign hardware. The update comes with the version of the software you are using, there is no separate firmware update to download, and it doesn't matter if you are online or not when you run it.

Re: DigiTech Support Needed
Ok, I finally understand what you're saying about the firmware update. I found an answer from Digidesign that tells me to go to Device Manager and reinstall the firmware driver which sounds good but, when I get there all I see is a blank window, no devices, no nothing! I know you told me to contact DigiSupport, but with my work schedule and their business hours that probably won't happen for a while. Do you think a complete un-reinstall of WinXp and or ProTools would help because everything worked before I messed with it? If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Thanks Tim |
