Default Midi and Sound Dump

I recently purchased the digi 002. I thought my set up was finally starting to get full. But I just found out that some of my equipment will be "gone" soon. So I need to know is it possible to do a midi dump w/sounds from a sound module into pro-tools? Then trigger the sounds with a midi keyboard? Any help or suggestions would be a life saver. Thanks in Advance.

Default Re: Midi and Sound Dump

You can SYS-EX dump the sounds aka "set of control parameters" to PT from your synth.

But these data can only sent back to be interpreted into sound by you synth, so you have no way playing these dumped sounds via PT alone.

Only way is to sample the instruments from your synth and use a softsampler to trigger these sounds... if have no work else to do for the next two years or so and all the midi parameter controlling will become impossible.

Better not sell your equipment, you´ll regret it sooner or later.
