Default Pro Tools 12 & iLoks
Does this spell the end of iLok licensing?
Please somebody say yes...I have 120 in this educational facility to manage!

nope. Assets still reside on iLoks.

It's possible that at some point Avid will allow assets to be kept on computers locally like they do with Media Composer, but for now, nothing's changed.

And... With the majority of AAX plug-in developers using ilok, it will likely be around for a while.

Ah well, was wishful thinking I guess. Maybe one day we'll have a volume license server option with floating seats just like we have now with Media Composer.
