Default "Not able to save session/volume not found" fix

Using PT 10 HD-3 on 2012 Mac, every now & then I get a message that session could not be saved, or backed up/volume not found. It goes away after a while but can hold things up, and don't know if it's a Mac or PT problem. I've discovered that if I just "Hide Pro Tools" then un-hide it, I am able to save as normal!
