iLok2 issues- help!
Hi,
I'm having issues with iLok2 authorization for PT 11 (Mac 10.9.1). When I open PT, I get a message "Activation is required". I press "activate" and get "You don't have any licenses in your account." - but I do have the license activated - I can see that in iLOK License Manager app. So I tried following the steps in this post: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t...ht=ilok+issues Trying to Sync/Repair, I get "An unexpected error occurred". I'm unexpectedly annoyed now! Any suggestions? I submitted a support incident to iLOK, but I fear it will take some time for them to help me. Thanks a lot ysound |

Hi,
I have the latest version of the License Manager app. in the app, left side, under "iLok 1" I see "2 Activations". Product name= "PT11 Free Sdnt Upgrade(2)" I'm not sure about iLok driver - I'm running mac (the driver is for windows, no?) |

Check for updates to the license manager. If there are any, download and install.
If you still have trouble, try right-clicking on your iLok in the left pane of the license manager, then choose "Sync/Repair"

Hi mesaone,
Thanks! I have the latest version of the license manager application. I also tried to do the Sync/Repair several times, but I always got an error message (see attachment) before the process has been completed... |

Sorry, I see I missed the part of your post where you went through some troubleshooting.
I dunno what the problem could be. I assume you've tried the iLok in a different USB port? To narrow down the possibilities: have you tried your iLok on someone else's system, or tried someone else's iLok with your system?

Hi Glazik,
Your magic works great! WOW I'm using macbook pro, so I occasionally unplug my iLok. Maybe that's the reason. I did submit an incident report to iLok, but they never replied! So let me express here my disappointment at their service. I was so desperate to the point thinking of switching to another DAW!!! and I'm serious. Thanks again Glazik, you spared me all the trouble of switching funny that you need to hold R and P on Mac (Rest in Peace?) |
