Need Help on what Pro Tools to purchase

Hello. I am a 16 year old teenager who does Hip Hop music. The talent is there but it's time for me to improve me quality if I'm going to be showing my music to new people. I think Pro Tools is the best way to go, but there are so many versions out there I don't know what to get. Considering I've never used Pro Tools in my life, and I only do Hip Hop music; what should I purchase ?

While a new Mbox with Pro Tools SE is a great start, you will soon outgrow the limited software. I would buy the full version of 10 and look at an interface from Focusrite or Presonus(unless the Mbox/SE package includes a discount on the full version). Now before you run out and spend a bunch of cash, be aware that Pro Tools is very picky about computer compatibility, so you should read the thread above called Help us Help you, and post a Sandra report on your computer so the good folks here can tell you if it is likely to work or not. If its not, then you will need to decide on either a new computer, or another program(that isn't as finicky as Pro Tools)

I think you're better served with Logic.
There's absolutely no need for you to go the PT route. It's just more expensive and won't give you anything, Logic (or Cubase LE, that is often bundeled with cheaper interfaces) won't.

While this may be true, it means you gotta have a Mac

You don't need a Mac for Cubase.
