Default Insane computer problem!

Hi
I have a problem where the computer acts as if a button is stuck on the keyboard. The space bar I believe. However, I disconnect the keyboard or try another keyboard and the computer still acts as if a button is depressed. This is a major problem, as I'm unable to use the computer, type in my password, etc. This began after (or before?) Pro Tools had a software crash.

I have been running 10.4.5 on a G5 Quad 2.5 machine, Pro Tools 7.1cs8 HD. I was able to start up from the install CD that came with the computer, and reinstall 10.4.2 using the Archive and Install, plus importing the Home folder and preferences. It was a 2 part installation, requiring a restart halfway through. At the first restart, the problem still existed. But upon the completion of the installation, the problem was fixed.

Thinking it had been a software corruption of the OS, I ran the combo updater for 10.4.6. Upon completion of the OS upgrade, the problem returned in full force! Also, I have removed all hardware connections, PCI cards, etc. No help though.

Again, this happens when no keyboard is connected or when an alternate keyboard is connected. I can't figure out the problem, was going to bring it to an Apple Store tomorrow. Anyone seen this before?

Have you tried logging into a different user to see of the problem is still there?

Since you imported your home folder info, if there was a bad pref file, that could cause the problem.
