Default Activating Melodyne Essential

I have searched the forum and can't find the answer so am making this post.
I have recently upgraded to PRLE 8 and now to 8.04.
I am trying to activate Melodyne Essential but cannot find a serial number despite following in the instructions on the yellow card, including logging into My Digi.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks

You actually have to activate it at the Melodyne website. They have a video about how to install and activate it right here:

http://www.celemony.com/cms/index.php?id=videos&tab=3

The video that says "installation and activation".

Hi NST7

Thanks for your reply, but this depends on having a serial number. That is the issue here in that the Pro tools literature states that a serial number is given on activation of the new PT software and that later it can be accessed via one's MyDigi account. I was not given a serial number and there is not one provided in my own MyDigi account.

So I made the post to find out if anyone could suggest where I can access the serial number to start the activation process.

Thanks again for taking time to reply.

If you check your Avid account there should be a serial number next to Melodyne in the third party downloads. If not then you may need to contact Support directly. Unless someone else has a better solution.

Hi necjamc
thanks for your reply. Have checked again my avid account and there is no entry for 3rd party software, just for PT. I have just logged an enquiry directly to support at Avid.
Thanks for taking time to respond

To get a serial number, you first use an activation code. This should be on a white card called "Third party content". I just looked in my old paperwork to verify this.
