Default MIDI and pitch bend

I'm suddenly having a rather odd problem I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced.

When I am recording midi tracks with my M-Audio 61 Keyboard into PT (v.12.8/ Mac OS High Sierra) everything will be working perfectly and then suddenly the midi tracks are "out of tune" as if it's receiving a few cents of pitch bend. I can get around it by restarting whichever VI plug-in I'm using, but it will often reoccur within the same session.

This happens with all VI's

I've checked to see if there's any controllers being recorded and there aren't any.

I've checked cable etc., but so far I haven't been able to solve this.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Jeremy
