So this is still a problem - has everyone gone silent?

Avid Tech Support has clearly stated that a fix is on the way, so we are all anxiously waiting for the next PT update.

There's probably nothing more to say, that's why. It's left a lot of users
frustrated and angry and I don't think a lot of us want to be in that position anymore.

It just makes me wonder, what if there is another major issue like this in the future ? Will everyday users who've paid for this piece of software become beta-testers again ? Will it take more than a year to fix ?

See ? I'm getting upset already.

Went back to using Logic months ago. The longer I wait for a PT fix, the more I question why I need Avid at all.

I'm also waiting patiently for the fix, and using the workaround in the interim.

I have to use 'Illogic' on a regular basis for certain projects, but I prefer to use Pro Tools when I have the freedom to choose, even with its bugs. Too many random things/bugs happen that cause me grief, disruption, extra work, etc. for me to have the confidence/willingness to use Logic by choice.

And that's before we get into the gui/interface limitations/restrictions built in to Logic by design that just irritate the hell out of me!

It's a shame, because Logic also has ’a few' superb design features/ways of doing things that I would love to have available in Pro Tools.

Illogic :) :) :)

I only use it for its built-in Apogee HR22 dither (16bit bounces) but could not imagine getting any real work done...

Mixing work, maybe not. Composition, most definitely.

I am Master Pro certified in Logic. I like the program, I really do... But I don't do much composition. Last time I launched Logic was maybe a few months ago... But I wish Sculpture would be ported to an AAX2 plug-in.

Same here. I'm forced to using logic and my PT11 is gathering dust because it is simply unusable for the most simplest of tasks.
I might try to install pt10 again and see if that works.
