I don't know much about crossfire mode but can I use 2 of these video cards together without any issues regardless?

I look foreword to the day I spend more time recording than messing around with computers, but if it wasn't for all of you here on the DUC who help out so much the rest of us would not have anywhere to go!!!
Thanks again for the advise and help.
You can use any combination of cards, I have two cards and three moniters. They are not in Crossfire mode.

Generally the reviews I've on the ASUS coolers seem to indicate they are fairly loud. The Arctic cooling Freezer 7 is a longtime DUC favorite. The Ninja I mentioned is silent.

The Ninja just fits in my case. The tops of the heatpipes just make contact with the lid. It goes on without forcing anything. I'm using a I-Star D 400 hundred series case. I can measure the depth if you like.

I took a look at your case, very nice, it is 7" tall. Unfortunately my Carillon case is a 4 space rack, but the face (Front) is bigger than the actual box (it has rubber feet and the top is recessed an 1/8"-3/16") is only 6 1/4" tall so I figure I cannot use the ninja cooler

I do not know what the noise level of my spectral pc is but it is a HOG, and the overall noise level was the first in a long string of disappointments (does anyone know anybody other than me who bought one?)....it is very loud compared to my older machine

I did a little research:

here are the specs on the Arctic Freezer7 Pro - it says it has a noise level of 28.2dBA http://www.svc.com/acfzp7.html

and here for the asus V72 with a noise level of 22dBA
http://www.svc.com/acfzp7.html

I want to build the absolute best machine available today and make great music for all of my friends...and me too!!

900 - 2500 RPM is the fan speed - http://www.arctic-cooling.com/cpu2.p...9&data=2&disc=
I'm using the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro with an O/C E6300 at 2.8GHz on a Asus P5K/EPU board. I have it set on a medium speed and it's barely audible on the desk with the rack case open - the noise you have quoted is on full pelt and isn't giving you a reasonable idea of what you'll actually get. I tried running on lowest speed 900 rpm i guess - but my temps (for my own comfort zone !) were a little too high.

Only trouble with the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro on my board was not noise but the fact that it needed about 1mm of plastic filed off it so it cleared the Northbridge heatsink. Once that was done no problem.
