Pro Tools 10 MIDI controller not working

I have an AKAI MPK 49 connected by USB to my iMac. Everything thing is setup properly in Pro Tools but for the life of me, I can't get my controller to work using any soft synth (Mainly Omnisphere)

I've tried everything.

Peripherals->MIDI controllers; Set Type HUI and SEND and RECEIVE to AKAIMPK49 PORT 1

MIDI Thru is selected

MIDI input devices are all checked.

The controller works as I'm able to use it with Ableton, Machine, Reason etc

Any help would be appreciated
