New PT7 to 6.9.2 downgrade possible?

Hey Everyone!

Here's the story...

We bought an HD2 Accel system end of November-Early December through a local pro audio sales/rental place.

Stuff trickled in slowly and they let us borrow pieces that hadn't arrived yet. We needed to be up and running cause we're doing a few songs for a movie. The system is a G5 DP 2.7 HD2 Accel with (3) 192's (32 analog ins/outs) and a sync I/O. OSX 10.4.2.

At first we got the computer and 2 interfaces. The rental co let us borrow an interface, sync I/O, cards and software till the stuff arrived. At this point, I've got all our own hardware and just got the Cards and software the other day.

When I opened the box today, I realized that PT7 HD is what was shipped. It was supposed to be 6.9. I would rather stay on 6.9.2 for now because I'm doing a TON of importing data (reel changes) and fear that I will get the import error that people are compaining about.

My question is: Can I install and authorize my PT7 software and if I have a problem with imports, go to the digi download website and download 6.9.2 and use my PT7 serial to downgrade?

I would rather not stay on the borrowed software, since I would need it for a month an a half and want to register our own stuff and install HD2 pack plugs. The only plug I have to reauthorize is autotune. I have a temporary authorization till I get my ilok.

ok, nevermind....

I was gonna stay with the loaned software till the end of the project...so i opened the HD7 box and it actually includes an optional 6.9.2 disc.
