MBook Pro Ptools 7.3.1 and Neo assertion line in volumes comes up

not letting me save or close properly or quit...here 's the line

Neo Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/vb_cliff/AlturaPorts/SKDS/Neo61/Libraries/MackintoshEnvironments/Alone/../../../../Source/CNeolOBlock.cpp", line 164

i wrote a song called cents and to be "cool" i used $ sign for the last s and i think this was the beginning of my assertion problems i erased all of the session back ups and changed the name to regular letters but the problem ensues

getting combo update 10.4.11 but i don't think this will help

should i just erase the session completely?

thanks that helped me greatly--i may have had to do that before with an assertion error, but had forgotten that you have to go into the system folder MacHD>library>applications>digi>digi data bases> ...and volumes

works great now--have music on 'that space' /drewfinn

i went n found the old thread, checked the troubleshooting and followed the instructions for random assertion errors and deleted databases from mounted hard drives and macHD through app support. i have also tried changing the names of the files so that they contain no symbols i used a dash - for a catalog date. are there any other suggestions?

i've been having this issue as well dobatron.

now i got to go look up the Assertion FAQs. Shame there wasn't a link in that post.

Perhaps you should look a bit harder.

(i.e. a bit lower)
