Extra Space End of Tracks
When I bounce out an MP3 or WAV from my song sessions, that file quite often ends up with about 30 seconds of blank space at the end.
I've been trying to find ways to bring up the end time in the session to avoid this but have come up blank. The actual clips in the session have no blank space at the end that I can tell. Any ideas on things I can look at? Thanks! Version 12.7, Win 10 PC Steve |

Re: Extra Space End of Tracks
Try selecting/highlighting only the audio you require - then bounce your song...
This should give only the audio selected in the final bounce... Sparky |

Re: Extra Space End of Tracks
Thanks for the quick response Sparky. Sounds like that would work. I'll give it a try on the next mix.
If anyone has any ideas on preventing this before bouncing, let me know. Thanks again! |

Re: Extra Space End of Tracks
Ideas? You've already been given the answer. Are you looking for another way to do it?

Re: Extra Space End of Tracks
I use two selection memory locations in every session. #50 is print/bounce, #51 is export - always.

I'll take a look at Stig's response for memory locations as well. |

To the OP, make sure there are no automation break points or anything after your clips. I think that would cause this to happen. But the simplest way of avoiding this is to do as suggested and just highlight the length of what exactly you want to bounce.

I'll just stick with the memory location trick and not worry about it anymore. |

Re: Extra Space End of Tracks
To the best of my knowledge, if you DON'T set a range - with either marker or the cursor tool - PT will simply bounce from the start of your session to the end of your session because that's what you've told it you want to do. By "Tabbing" to the beginning of the very first clip in your session and selecting a range from there to the end of your last clip (allowing for any FX tail of course) PT will bounce only between the start and end of the selection.
Hope this helps. |
