[Feature Request] Visual Automation Feedback

It would be great, if I could see if I am actually writing an automation right on the surface.

It's not rare, that I run into troubles, thinking I am writing volume automation while I am actually stíll in preview- or in read mode.

It would be very helpful if, for example, the channel LED could turn red (and blinking?) if I am really writing, and green, if I touched something while beeing in preview. Maybe just like the little automation selector in every audio track.

Yes, visual automation feedback would be very helpful.

Just added my vote to the Ideascale although I have to say... That thing seems like an enormous black hole where many great ideas enter but few are seen or heard of again. :)

indeed, have been mentioning this here and on other protools forums. Visual feedback should also show a difference between touch/latch/write/read/off/trim modes on the channel strip displays. It's a ridiculous time mangler having to look in the edit/mix windows or trim/untrim a channel to know whether a fader is in trim mode.

such an obvious feature and extremely easy to implement... again...
