Just got HD: DAE ERROR -7053 HELP!
I just got my HD system connected.
I opened a pre-existing session. No problem opening it, but when Ihit "play" I get DAE ERROR -7053. The computer doesn't crash, but the session doesn't run. It just sits there. ================================= Here's my set-up: HD-6 in a 13-slot magma chassis. 192 DIGITAL I-O ("D-I-O")as my main interface (my 192 analog I-O has not been delivered.) Apogee AD8K for analog I-O, connected via AES (NOT the legacy port) Wordclock from Apogee to the 192 D-I-O. 888-20 connected to the D-I-O's legacy port. Superclock from the Apogee to the 888-20. ---------- In Protools' Hardware-set-up: The Hardware set-up shows a choice of 888-24 and 882-20, but I have an 888-20 !!! I used “ 888-24” since this was the only way to see four AES in-outs. is this OK? ALSO: This 888-24 choice doesn’t include superclock in it’s “clock” options. -so I selected “wordclock.” Is this OK? ----------------- there are other ways to hook this all up: 1: clock from apogee via AES 2: Apogee AND 888 connected to the legacy port (but then what becomes the master clock?) Regardless, My D-I-O is currently recieving clock from the Apogee, and the Protools software is set accordingly. I SHOULD be able to run, no? Thoughts? -any thoughts at all, I am in a bit of trouble here! I talked to three seperate techs at Digi, and they didn't know what was wrong. the above is their best guess at proper hook-up. I will be trying other permutations now, but NAY ideas would be most appreciated. -Thanks. |

Re: Just got HD: DAE ERROR -7053 HELP!
You must be kidding! the 882-20 is supported, but not the 888-20? -but thanks for the info. No big deal as I will be trading it in for the 192 when it comes-in.
Regardless, the above can't be my problem. I removed the 888 from my hardware, and set the D-I-O to internal sync. Same problem. Arrgghh |

Re: Just got HD: DAE ERROR -7053 HELP!
Update:
I read the Answer-base info. It said to check all hardware and also make sure all inits were in the system folder. I see NO digi-init in my system. I re-installed the software and STILL see no nit. has it been re-named? Could I possibly have a defective installer??? (never heard of THAT one) Is there an area on the Main Digi site where I can download the latest init? |

Re: Just got HD: DAE ERROR -7053 HELP!
There is no Digi Init in HD with 5.3.1. Only DAE

Re: Just got HD: DAE ERROR -7053 HELP!
Why don't you try running an HD3 in your mac without the chassis and only connecting the 192 Digital I/O. Start from there and see if that works. Mine has been running perfect.
