Are any of these upgradable HDX?

Also, can one purchase PT software and receive on flash or disk like Steinberg?

PT subscription will stop working as soon as you stop paying. That 2599 dollar license is permanent, you only don't get updates after you stop paying for the support and update plan.

PT Ultimate is needed for HDN or HDX but you can buy software first and hardware later. Without HDN or HDX hardware your Ultimate software is limited to 32 physical i/o though.

Once you have bought your license or subscription, you will have downloads available on your Avid Account.

HDN and HDX are hardware, PT standard and PT ultimate are software. You need Ultimate for HDN or HDX but can use Ultimate without HDN or HDX. Is this really so hard to understand? You can first buy Ultimate and use it without hardware, then add HDN or HDX card and your choice of DigiLink interface(s) later

Yes, I know HDX and (HDN(no longer sold) is HW and PT is software.

The answer I'm looking for is if one purchases Ultimate where can find the upgrade to HDX price on the Avid site or anywhere else.

DigiLink is $300

Also, if purchasing a used HDX without SW what it would cost to link the two.

Just buy the card from Avid or your favourite reseller. Plenty of 2nd hand cards available too
