pt 12.7 HD Search Region Bin Slow

I'm running an iMac 27-inch, late 2012 3.4 GHz Core i7 w 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeFore GTX 680 MX w 2MB VRAM , PT HD 12.7 and El Cap 10.11.6.

PT is super slow when searching the region bin. The lag takes a good 2-3 seconds to update. Was never an issue in PT 10.x. Granted I have A LOT of clips in the bin but never changed the amount when upgrading from 10.x to PT 12.7 and it's way slower.

And the bug of clearing unused clips is still there from PT 12.x. Takes a good 3 minutes to select unused regions.

Thoughts?
