Angry Not hearing anything that been recorded

i have Digidesign Eleven rack ,Protools LE ver 8, windows 7 and xp...And I'm having the same problems with both computers.. I'm not hearing anything that been recorded..I dont know if its a software problem..
I have the Eleven interface plunged into the computer via usb, the and the Eleven rack (out to amp 2) going into my power amp from there to half stack cab. So... I'm hearing everything i'm playing just fine..
When i'm recording, you can see that it working. But when you try to play it back you can't hear anything..
I checked the sound on my computer it was up all the way..played an mp3 with windows media player it worked fine. So what the Hell am i doing wrong...

Try Pressing alt + k (switch from input only mode to auto input mode). If that doesn't work, check your I/O configuration. I've never used Eleven Rack but those are 2 things in LE that could cause your problem.

Is there a waveform displayed in the edit window after you record, or a flat line?

gonna make a bit of a leap here since you mentioned that the sound on your computer was up... do you have the eleven rack's main outputs plugged into a mixer or powered speakers? pro tools can't play out the computer's speakers.
