Surrendered license for Strike 1.0 - now what?

PTLE 8.04 on Win 7
While going thru my iLok authorizations, I noticed I had Strike 1.5 in the hopper. So I tried to move it to the active iLok key which the iLok Manager told me I'd have to surrender Strike 1.0 license to move 1.5 to the key. Well, I did that. Now, I wish I hadn't because now I have no Strike at all. Q - if I download the 4 Strike 1.5 zip files from the Avid legacy download site

and I have 1.5 on my key, will it work? If not, is there a chance I can get my 1.0 license restored, and how would I go about it? All I have is the original install discs for Strike 1.0.

Well, I went ahead and downloaded Strike 1.5 from the legacy download section, and it just worked. No worries. One of the tracks I played back had a tom where the hi hat used to be (going from Strike 1 to 1.5), but easy enough to fix.

Well yes, usually the version number on software and license need to match

Yes I know that part, but until I loaded Strike 1.5 and tried it, I had no idea that it would be authorized without any additional cost or complications, and no path to go back to Strike 1.0 since my license was surrendered.
