Cant find ez drummer

I first bought ez drummer, and then ezplayer. today got the akai lpd8 and protool le 8/mbox2 combo. I searched the forum, and saw that I should re-install ezdrummer, and make sure the path was correct, which i did. is now at C:ProgramFiles(x86)CommonFiles\DigiDesign\DAE\Plug-Ins. I still can't pull it up. Am still new to this, so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Did you install the RTAS version or just the VST? PT won't see the VST variety.

Doesn't it show on your plugin list?

There should be a .dpm and a dpm.rsr file in your Plugins folder

No it doesn't pop up in the plugin list. I do believe it is the vst version of ezdrummer, because I owned it first, and installed using toontrack solo. I can't figure out how to go back, and make it the rtsa version. I have un-installed and re-installed two more times, using custom setting, and didnt see a place to change. thanks for responding guys, very much appreciated.


I was debating un-install both ez drummer, and ttsolo, and then just reload EZD again, but it took me a while to get it on there, kinda hesitant.

Put the installer disk in and install the RTAS version!

I've tried resintalling, but i don't have a disk. Jus the download from toontrack.

During install, doesn't the installer ask you about VST or RTAS version?

It sure doesn't man. I got windows 7, I pulled up the start menu and searched ezdrummer, and found ezdrummer installer icon. Clicked and pulled up the install wizard, selected modify. I went through all of the available option and I didn't see an option to change that part. Do you know of a link or a version or something that I can download that will overwrite and give me that option maybe?

just went thru the same thing myself. no sign of EZDRUMMER durin' my 1st install. so i wrapped it and it showed up as VSTDFHsampler (or somethin' like that). but because i read the operation guide 'after'() the installation i found out i could not move libs after the fact. so i re-installed usin' the 'custom' installation to place libs on my sample drive. for whatever reason after the custom install EZDRUMMER showed up as an RTAS plug. my suggestion is to un-install and use the custom install even if you don't change any of the default settings. worth a try at least

awesome, at least worth a try. do you think I should uninstall ttsolo to make sure it doesn't route to it again maybe?
