Beginner Setup Advice
I'm new to the world of computer based audio recording. While most of my recording will be done on my Boss BR-900CD hard disc recorder; I would also like to use Pro Tools. I plan on transferring my music from the BR-900CD using USB to my Mac for further development.
My Mac is a Power Mac G4 733Mhz Digital Audio with 1.5GB of memory. I would like to know what audio interface is recommended for me? I was considering purchasing a Digi001 on eBay, but then read about it no longer being supported. I'm now considering getting an Mbox or Mbox 2. Are there any issues running an Mbox or Mbox 2 with a G4 processor upgrade? I'm eventually looking to upgrade my G4 processor to a faster one. |

Re: Beginner Setup Advice
I used to do the same thing, but brought my audio into cubase. If you are just getting into protools, then an mbox should be good. If you are getting serious, then get a 003.
