They’ve always had discounted updates if you own a prior version.

If you’re chasing a free update, you might want to see if you fall in to some sort of amnesty depending on how recently you purchased it.

The iZotope site is all kinds of bunged up (at least it is for me). There's no clear thing that says this is what you pay if you have an earlier version of RX. They just show an upgrade price - would this be it? The email I got doesn't specifically say whether the price in said email is an upgrade price of introductory price for RX8. And if I signin to my account it doesn't show that I have any loyalty offers.

Not expecting anything for free -- expecting more than the discount we've received in the past, even when purchasing the prior version adjacent to the new release. The discount was frankly pathetic. And considering the minor changes, it nearly felt like buying the same thing twice.
