Random shutdowns - LaunchDaemons

Hi All

I had some major repairs done on my Macbook pro recently with a lot of parts replaced, including the logic board. As part of the repairs the laptop was also reformatted. I am using OSX 10.11.6 and PT 12.5.2. After the repairs the laptop developed a problem in that it keeps randomly shutting down. It only happens when I am using the internet and no other software. After many discussions with some Apple senior technicians and engineers they have suggested the the problem might be the Avid LaunchDaemons. Personally I don’t think this is the issue as it was never a problem before and the shutdown happens when Pro Tools is not even running. They asked me to rename the folder containing these to “LaunchDaemons.old” but they are recreated after a restart.

The files in the folder are;
com.avid.bsd.shoetoolv120.plist
com.paceap.eden.licensed.plist
PACESupport.plist

I was just wondering has anyone else experienced strange behaviour related to these files. I would write to Avid about this but it seems you have to pay to log a report.

I have had issues with my macbook pro doing the exact same thing. Even had it shut down once and I was unable to turn it back on.

Been backing up like a mo-fo ever since. I'm now on OS X 10.11.6, but might have had the issues on 10.11.5 as well. Don't remember how long ago it updated.
