Default PT 2018.7. The best yet?

Hi,

I have tried all the PT 2018 updates and I think the 2018.7 is the most stable at the moment. Am I alone with this opinion?

What do you other PT users think about the last year's updates? Which is your "favourite"?

I lean that way as well. I try most every update, but I ALWAYS have a backup plan

2018.12 is actually more stable than 2018.10 in my workflows.

I would have to agree. It's has always been the most stable PT for me out of them all.

it was pretty stable here too, 2018.12 has become rock solid since I killed the Click plug.... which kept throwing up 6101

Are any of you using Protools Ultimate iLok cloud with 2018.12?
On my end it was crashing without warning if it got discounted from the internet for whatever reason. It did not give the popup box that allows your to save your session. I went back to 2018.10 for now and opened a ticket with Avid last week or so. This was happening on my MacPro and Macbook Pro (10.13.6).

Seems to have been the cause of CPU overload/buffer error 6101 on my machine. Since removing it my sys has been rock solid. Btw it’s resides not only in your plugs folder so just deleting from there will cause it to be reloaded next time you fire up PT. There is also a core library it resides in and needs to be killed there. I removed to an unconnected backup storage so I still have a copy handy. So far there have been no issues with stability removing it from the core library with PT running smooth as. Also I did this from advice from another member after I did a complete backup. Try at your own risk....
