Default I have hidden \"Digidesign Databases\" - OK?

I've got 2 hard drives and 5-6 partitions in all and got tired of that "Digidesign Databases" folder on each partition and made it hidden. No problems afaik, but do you know if this could cause trouble? Thanks.

Don't know if that will harm anything, what does that "volume" thing do in the folder? It's like digi's own little virus, I hook my porto drive to it without starting up tools and I have it on there.

Once again, I can't find an explanation why digi's developers couldn't just start up that folder in the assigned pro tools partition(s) when pro tools would start, and then automatically delete it on exit.

And/or make them hidden!

And that is supposing the folders are USEFUL for something, since they don't seem to be needed at all, and everytime there's a problem or error, one of the steps is to delete them all from the drives - so they are sitting there waiting to be blamed for a pro tools failure of some sort. Silly.

PS: they appear to make some sort of stamp in the system for anyone who browses the drives, marking it as "a pro tools DAW" above all the things it can be.
