Default Missing HEAT!

Feel free to lambast but somehow I completely missed HEAT!!

Ultimate subscriber and now running 2019.6 so I should have access to it right?
The KB talks about:

Select (or deselect) Options > Activate HEAT

..or:

To enable (or disable) HEAT for new sessions:
1 Choose Setup > Preferences.
2 Click the Processing tab.
3 In the DSP Management section, select (or deselect) the Enable HEAT in New Sessions option.
4 Click OK

The ACTIVATE HEAT option is not in the menu (- see attached)
I am on Ultimate Native so there is no DSP section...?

A quick search on here revealed a thread talking about Activating it in iLok but I can see no available activations and no mention of HEAT.

Anyone able to assist??

I thought it seemed to good to be true. I misread the 2019.6 release article and assumed "available" meant "accessible".

Thanks for setting me straight.

Sorry to be the ”bad news” guy here but HEAT is a $500 USD plugin but as Avid has sceewed up quite a bit the past year/s maybe including HEAT for all users on active plans would be a step in thd right direction instead of sample packs and other ”gifts” we need to subscribe to for them to work ... IMHO of course!

but then that would p*ss off people like me who paid for HEAT (people like me who are already p*ssed off because we upgraded to Ultimate in order to get HEAT and it turns out we didn't need to).

Whatever policy change you make, you will always piss some people off.

Now if you ask me, next logical step would be to include HEAT to the Avid Complete Plugin Bundle, but let's just wait and see...

Perhaps the ambiguity/confusion arises from the 1st sentence in
Chapter 47: HEAT from the (2019.6) Pro_Tools_Reference_Guide_105981_

“HEAT (Harmonically Enhanced Algorithm Technology) is a software option that adds “analog color” to Pro Tools | Ultimate (included) and Pro Tools (purchased separately) software."

Yup. I fell for that one. Or something similar I read in Avid documentation at the time. It really did seem as if HEAT was part of Ultimate.

Mind you, in the 2019.5 manual the word "paid" appears

Interesting wording.

I just tested with my Ultimate, deactivated HEAT and started PT.. but didn't have HEAT. So for HEAT to work it does need the license whatever software version you use, but apparently (just guessing what that wording may mean really) new Ultimate customers might get HEAT license included
