Hi pass filter. Broadband noise reduction (if the noise has some steady components).
But most important volume automation and psychoacoustics. You can use some phenomenas of the human ear by masking wind with varying backgrounds. But be caryfull not to tend sound dirty and smaring.
Also if it is a documentary why do you want to ged rid of wind? You should get to the best level of intelegebility and I don't think that anyone is expecting you to get a cristal clear sound of it.
But the buttom line is that it takes many years of experience and experiments to feel confident with this kind of interfirences. No short cuts and no magic.
Good luck.

yes, craeful, I had been instructed to put 'differant' sounding waves.., waves that sounded more like 'waves'..??

the location recording had the vocal as loud as the waves, i tried, filters, blending and automtion with levels.., I think I may have made it worse to the ear.., but the director likes it, so thats OK.., try to stay with what ou have, use it to yur advatage if possible, rather than something to get rid of.., maybe its something ou can work with.

just a thought.
