Can anyone tell me if this version solves the gui lag on 5k monitors?

Thanks!

Very glad to report that it's fixed on my 2017 5K iMac.

It’s better but to get it real fast you still need to right click the pro tools app and show info, thick the low resolution box. And then go to the colour scheme settings in the display preferences and set it to srgb instead of iMac.
That fixed the gui lag completely before and still speeds it up a lot

Wow. How did I miss this advice after looking everywhere for it! I just opened up a session following what you said and it's fixed!

No need for 2019!

Thank you!!

Really glad it helped you :)
I've posted this a couple of times and really think they need to make a sticky about it for iMac 5k users as it's pretty damn disappointing getting a new computer for 6000k and getting gui performance from 2003.

PT 2019 is worth it for the playback while moving/removing plugins though.

What OS does this work on? I have Sierra and do not see a low resolution option.
