Default M-Audio legacy hardware drivers for Windows 7 and 8

Hi,

Many of Avid's customer's are asking for M-Audio drivers for their hardware. The M-Audio forums are full of frustrated and disappointed users. There are no working drivers for Windows 8 and Windows 7 drivers are not working.

I think it's understandable that Avid doesn't have time to update the drivers for old, legacy hardware, but it's still not fair with the users who trusted M-Audio/Avid with their money to leave them behind.

As a win-win solution it would be great if Avid could release the older drivers of the not-anymore-supported hardware as open-source. I'm sure the community would be pleased and soon they could release a properly working driver for free.

Is there anybody at Avid who could make this happen?

Regards,
Andras

M-Audio is currently owned by inMusic. Perhaps contacting them might help.
