When I open Waves Central for the first time it just says it's "damaged and should be moved to trash"?
Anyone else having trouble. When did they release this, today?

You have to "allow all apps" in OS X preferences. In the security prefs. I had that problem too.

All I want to know is: Will this installer remember which plugins I own??

I have a lot of them so updating drives me nuts.

I wish this were the case, I hate updating waves, for this very reason

oh wow, I did not realize it was a new product (of sorts). It says it does know what software you have and will install for those licenses only. Sounds like a really nice update compared to the old way....

You can choose to see what you own, or all of them.

Yeah, the new Waves Central seems to be the WLC with a new skin, upgraded to include an installation process. It is definitely much improved with these changes that were also needed by many.

For Mac users, there may be issues trying to run Waves Central, this is because of Apple's tight control on security in order to protect its system from potential threats. As a result the app may appear as "damaged", but there is a way around it.

Goto System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Firewall and unlock it

Select Firewall Options, add Waves Central to "Allow Incoming Connections"

Close the System Preferences

You should be able to keep your security settings as normal and it will run. If you have issues getting this to work for you, try doing the following step first.

Goto System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General and select the "Anywhere" option

Run the app, make sure it connects fine.

Quit, follow the steps mentioned earlier

Change your security settings back to their default and close the System Preferences.

On the plus side, with the introduction of Waves Central it now means Mac users will no longer have to download the full Offline Installer to install only small handful of plugins.

Also Simon, thank you kindly for adding those very clear and concise instructions for the Mac (*incl the screenshots) ..., as I would have also been up sh*t creek with out paddle if it wasn't for your helpful tips
