Default Problems bouncing down

I started having problems lately when I try to bounce mixes.

It basically alternates between saying that the processor held off interrupts too long, and that pro tools is interfering with other system tasks. The error windows that interrupt the bouncdown say to change the buffer size play back engine settings, but if I select 512, I get the interrupts message, and if I select 1024, I get the other one.

The first time it happened, I basically had to delete a bunch of busses and save my session as a a new session to make it start working right.

I kept my busses and so forth to a minimum after that, but I still run into problems even with just 12 or so stereo audio tracks and a couple of reverb busses.

Just removing busses does not clear the problem. I have to save, shut down, and reload to get it to work. Does that mean there might be a way to purge the cache or something like that and make it work, without having to delete busses?

6.1.1
Look for some updates(I would go to 6.4 with cs6 and cs9). There was a bounce issue with 6.something(sorry, its been too long) so you may have that. The mention of Dverb is alluding to the old denormalization problem that was solved by inserting a dither plugin, in front of the Dverb plugin(drag Dverb down one slot and add dither in slot 1).
