Fwiw the Adam a7's are fairly highly regarded. They will probably be my next set. Unless I get the $$$ for some event opals.

I used to have the M-Audio EX66, which - and I can't stress that enough - are really good monitors, even though they are pretty inexpensive.
But since one of them died on me recently, and they seem to be out of production or whatever (can't get them over here anymore), I decided to go big with the Dynaudio BM12a.
They should arrive here today, I'm really excited.

I've got them - I think they're great. I was using some Tannoy domestic speakers, and it was a definate step up from them.

Have never heard the M-Audio stuff to give you a comparison. In the price range they were one of the better that I heard (KRK / Genelec / Yamaha)

I have a pair of Event 20/20's and a pair of JBL 4208's, both of which I've had for about 10-12 years and they still sound great.

I use the Mackie HR824s. They are decent, but I found out they are really bassy.

I will have to keep that in mind. My problem right now is that I have no bottom end and the mixes are coming out muddy and with jacked up lower end

I've had Dynaudio BM15a's for the last 4 years.
I love them.
