Default Sound dropouts with MBox 2 on MacBook

Hi
i m using a digidesign mbox 2 with my new mac book ( updated to 2GB Ram ).
after working half an hour with protools le or just using any application on my mac ( no sequencer stuff ) i m getting kind of droppouts over my mbox 2.
when i swich it of the usb port and plug it in again sometimes the problem is solved again for anoter hours but its realy disturbing the workflow.

any ideas how i can fix this?
