Re: which manual to download?
When you install Pro Tools, the included docs are installed in your Release Notes & Documentation folder on your hard drive. Many of these, including the PT Reference Guide.pdf are accessible from the Help menu in Pro Tools.
You should already have the correct documents on your hard drive, but if you choose to download any updated docs from the website, you will need to change the name of the downloaded file if you want it to show up in the Help menu. For instance, the following doc on the Technical Document Library: Pro Tools Reference Guide (10.4 MB) Version 6.0 for TDM or LE Systems on Macintosh Version 5.3.x for TDM or LE Systems on Windows or Macintosh Version 5.1.x for MIX or LE Systems on Macintosh is named: PT_6.0_Reference_Guide.pdf for web download purposes. You would need to name it the same as the previous document, and place it in the exact same location as that document so that the file path would be found for the Help Menu. So you would rename PT_6.0_Reference_Guide.pdf to PT Reference Guide.pdf You can also get the printed manual set on the DigiStore: http://secure.digidesign.com/index.c...&categoryid=12

Re: which manual to download?
It cool, but I bought the paper back book for 'bout $40. I get tired of have to open pdf files to click and read then click back to Protools, back and forth, back and forth, but the info is there. I don't really need the book any more
