Re: 12.8.1 Crash on Quit
Not sure if this will help anyone else, but with help from Native Instruments, I was able to prevent this crash happening via a full re-install of Guitar Rig 5. Maybe a similar approach might work for some other problem plugins too.

Re: 12.8.1 Crash on Quit
I have found something interesting after months of going back an forth with NI. I tested multiple things.. with Spin Dump utility
Here is what I did first a month or more ago. Please provide us with a spindump, as it sometimes shows useful info as to what is happening in an unresponsive process. When loading Kontakt and it is being sluggish, do the following: 1. In Finder, go to Utilities 2. Open Activity Monitor 3. Select the unresponsive process 4. Click on the cogwheel icon on top-left of Activity Monitor 5. Select "Run Spindump" 6. Copy-paste the output in a .txt and send it to us Best regards, Benjamin @ NI OK IN THE END, I found out that if I close the file tree, this fixes the stalling of the loads! It totally worked for me! Can you open Kontakt in stand alone mode (after it loads, as it may take a while) and go to the Files Tab. If there are any expanded file trees, minimize the file trees and see if the slow loading issue occurs. This helped with crashing, BUT I have several people that have good PT experience that have regressed back to 12.8 and that took care of the crashes. G

Re: 12.8.1 Crash on Quit
The majority of my 9173 errors seem to trace exactly back to when Kontakt instruments kick in for the first time, but generally I've not had it cause too many crashes or freezes for me, which I'm thankful for.
Seems like both that and Guitar Rig have stability issues, though.

Re: 12.8.1 & 12.8.2 Crash on Quit
So this happened again when I installed 12.8.2.
Once again it was fixed by manually uninstalling & reinstalling Guitar Rig 5, but that's ridiculous. Am I meant to do that every time I install a new version of Pro Tools? This never happened with the older versions.
