Bouncing separate takes as MP3s
Hello!
I am using ProTools at home (for editing purposes) to listen to drum takes I've recorded in the studio. I want to bounce each separate drum take (there are 9) as an individual MP3 so I can hear the different takes in MP3 form on my phone when I'm away from my computer. Even though I am switching between takes (and can see the different WAV files for each take on the screen when I bounce it down) each bounce has the same drum track on it. Any ideas what I need to do to get each different take to bounce to a separate file? I'm happy to do a bounce for each take if I have to, but at the moment even though I'm switching to a new take, the same one still appears on each bounce. Ps I'm not trying to bounce individual stems, I mean bouncing the whole song with a different drum take on each bounce. Thanks! |

Re: Bouncing separate takes as MP3s
Hi, welcome to the community.
You need to create "playlists". Put each take on its own playlist and then pick the playlist you want. This will also make it easier for you to "comp" the takes, probably replacing a mis-hit on otherwise perfect take. Google the concept and it is really rather easy when you get it. And next time you know how to record the takes to playlists to begin with.
