Default Check out this feature missing in Pro Tools

Pro Tools keeps falling way behind it's competition.

This little Logic feature would be awesome to have in Pro Tools to enhance workflow. Needless to say this feature has been in many daws for more than 10 years already, Samplitude to name one..

Non destructive clip gain normalization, peak or LUFS:

Check it out!

Would be useful for certain kinds of dialogue editing, perhaps. Seems useful for podcasters. Not sure I'd ever use it. I mean, it is neat. I wish the author hadn't confused it with gain staging.

There are so many little things. This would be very helpful for VO and commentary in docs. I think Resolve has this, too.

Yeah, would be nice to rough balance what's coming into the compressor. I'm curious about the LUFS normalization. Very useful starting point for docs and pods.
Avid is just keeping the boat floating right now, and It's hard to trim the sails while taking on water, especially you're alone in the boat. Bill Gates should consider emptying his back pocket and buy Avid and make Digidesign great again..

Ive said it for years. Adobe should take some cash out of the receptionists drawer, and buy AVID, and then get rid of thier dumb 'me too' products like Audiotion et al.....they'd be a powerhouse, if they'd been smart enought to buy WWISE.

Wouldn't Pro Tools then become part of Creative Cloud with no permanent licenses, just subscription?

Be careful what you wish for!

Yes, this is a really nice feature, and probably a lot more important to the ProTools user base than to Logic's - FWIW, Quiet Arts' Defaulter plug sort of does something similar, but not nearly as full featured.

Re-suggested in the Avid link lounges area too

Pro Tools does not listen to us
