Default Pro tools 9 HD & Firepod Monotoring audio Not working

I am getting no audio out of the firepod through my Control room monitors
I can hear the already recorded tracks coming out of my mac internal speakers, but it will not output through the firepod.
I have a signal coming in through my firepod (mic) into a track and I can even hear the mic through my control room monitors, but when I press play to hear the rest of the tracks, I still only get audio coming out of my mac internal spekers.

Please advice.

In Pro Tools, go to setup -> Playback engine and select your firepod interface from the menu box at the top of the window (It probably says "Built in Audio" or something like that right now.)

Thanks John,

I tried that, also in the Macs System Preferences I selected Pro tools Aggregate in outputs.

So, if you can record through your Firepod, but playback is through your computer's speakers, it seems like PT Aggregate is setup wrong.

Instead of using the Aggregate I/O, try to switch to Firepod (or something like this) in Pro Tools' Playback Engine settings. If there's no Firepod you first could try to reinstall the drivers or software that came with your interface. If this doesn't help go to the Mac's Audio Settings and check which inputs and outputs are set for PT Aggregate I/O.
