SECOND MONITOR SCREEN NOT WORKING WITH PT8 / MacBook Pro
Hi folks!
Newbie here, be kind...! Now, I've seen this problem solved on the forums for Windows XP/Vista etc, but not for OSX. Having created new sessions with PT8, I cannot drag the Mix or Edit windows to the second screen (arranged above my the MBP). However, when I open sessions created using PT 7.3.1 the facility works perfectly. I'm very confused. Is this a known bug with PT8? Thanks in advance! |

I am using PT8 with a I-mac with a second monitor beside my Imac. When I first set this up I just grabbed the mix window and slid it sideways and it moved over perfectly. No problems...

Yeah, that's strange. I have an external monitor and I can slide everything around fine on all of my PT8 files.

Yeah it's odd,
as I say, it works perfectly in PT8 when working on sessions that were initially created in PT7...and it seems that the fader and transport windows can move freely....just not the Mix and Edit windows. I'm stumped. |

Re: SECOND MONITOR SCREEN NOT WORKING WITH PT8 / MacBook Pro
i have two external monitors with my closed MBP an it works fine, mentioning that the second external monitor via USB (with Kensington Dual Monitor Adapter - Grafikadapter - USB - Digital) is just used for the mixing window so it does not matter if there is a graphic latency (which exists)
good luck from berlin rob MBP, 2,66, pt 8.01., MAC os 10.5.8 |

Quote:
I'm guessing one monitor is at a different resolution and the windows in the PT8 session are larger - when you try to drag them to the other monitor they're too big to move. If that's not the case, try trashing preferences and/or changing monitor resolutions, as that may 'reset' everything and allow it to work again. |
