Default The good side of 7.2?

Hi. As forums go we generally hear the difficult side to updates.
The features seem dramatic enough to consider going from 7.1x to 7.2.

Are the bugs or difficulties overall minor (but annoying)?
A few bullets on what's right would be refreshing to know about.
Thank you.

You're right there's always bugs, but i think this is (safe to say) the most bug free major update in PTs history.
The features as you say are very extensive as well, more so for post and mixing than midi perhaps, but impressive none the less.

I wouldn't consider going back, having been at 7.2 since the release date. Very few problems, for my perspective. And how did I ever work without VCA and with only 26 groups anyway, and..?

7.2 takes more juice. I regularly have Logic, PT and Melodyn running simultaneously for workfrom ... stuff comes in logic sessions from a producer. 7.2 has slwed me down unfortunately. The import audio dialog takes ages. The computer goes into a busy state for large periods wheras 7.1 was much snappier dealing with the same apps. It could be a lack of memory - i only have 2GB but 7.1 hadled that combo fin ...

7.2 is by far the best version yet, even with it's quirks.
Worth every penny.

I would still have upgraded even after knowing about the little bugs.

I was a long time "holder-on" of 6.9.3. i recently got a HD Expansion Chasis that required I upgrade to at least 7.1; I went straight to 7.2, and I have to say I am very happy...haven't had a crash in a few weeks (never actually in 7.2), and I'm constantly working at hight track counts @ 88.2.
I have to say, I was *extremely* anal about the install....first unintalled, then went through and removed certain folders/files the uninstalled missed....repaired permissions...downloaded all the latest 7.x plugs...etc. i highly recommend doing this kind of install...I think a lot of the folks having cronic problems with 7.x can be traced back to a bad initial install.

I love 7.2! I have only one bug that's driving me CRAZY. In 7.2, Pro Tools randomly Freezes.
