Default Slate VCC and ilok2
I see Slate finally released the VCC. Kudos for the free ilok2 offer as the software requires the new ilok version.

Just wondering out of interest, anyone know why the new ilok is required? Is this a taste of things to come for other plugs? (making Slate's offer more appealing).

It's for the advanced level of protection the new ilok offers. One of Slate's plugs was cracked not too long ago.

FYI, we're working on the Win RTAS version... its not in the current release but should be out in about 30 days or so.

In the meantime I'm hoping it will run in the Fxpansion VST/RTAS wrapper.

Some user report would be fine. How is it working, how good is it sounds, etc.?

I love it. This is amazing. I run it in Reaper and in PT on the Mac. The PC/RTAS version is not out yet. I tried it in the wrapper but no love. If anyone has managed to get this to run in the wrapper I'd love to hear about it.

I now have it working in the Fxpansion wrapper. In the wrapper, allow for mono.

Tama,

It's a great addition... I personally, (as do most people it seems), prefer the Brit N setting which emulates a Neve console.. (I have mine set to 8x oversampling which makes it a CPU hog).

The Brit 4k, US A, and Trident are all nice as well, but each just a bit different... and each having their place depending on your tastes..

I will use this plug on most of my mixes if not all. Also, we're hoping for a few more emulations.. (Everyone send Steven a email and bug him about it )
