Default Clicks and Pops again why!

All of the sudden I am getting horrible clicks and pops. I have not changed anything on my system other than started using Waverider and V-Pre. I just removed the waverider insterts and disabled the Hui and the clicks and pops persist. I deleted prefs, and still no solution. I then upgraded to PT 10.2 and still clicks and pops.

Working on a documentary, the session is about 100 voices, video at 720X480, CPU is never overloading (peaking at around 40%), no warnings of automation too thick (I also thinned it out manually and with the thin automation command), and I even tried a different codec for the video (Pro-Res). I have the play back set at 7 processors, 80% max, ignore errors IS NOT CLICKED ON, no matter where I put the buffer or what I do the clicks and pops continue.

These clicks and pops happen randomly and never in the exact same place.

Is it possible that the drive (where the audio resides) may be at fault?

Just a shot in the dark...

Clocking Error perhaps? Do you have any digital devices connected to your system that might be clocking differently.

No but I think I found it. It is the plugin "V-pre". I removed the plug and so far clicks and pops went away.
