Default Midi to USB adapter

I'm using an M-Audio Keyrig 49 as my USB controller to do pianos and virtual instruments.

But I'm curious if I can use my 88-key Casio Privia keyboard, with real piano action, and use the midi-out on the side, with a USB adapter, that would allow me to go into my Imac using the USB port, as I do with my Keyrig 49, and use the Casio instead of the Keyrig.

I'm just not sure the steps I would need to go through. And how would I get Pro Tools to recognize it? Would I need to install drivers or anything complicated like that?

You can definitely do this. The M-Audio Uno is a good choice. It will work the same way as your Keyrig, in that it should be automatically recognized on the Mac. If not, go under Utilities>Audio Midi Setup, and click "Rescan Devices" and it should be recognized.

Alternatively, you could also look into a keyboard controller that also functions as a Midi to USB interface, such as any of the Axiom series (including the 1st generation ones, if you find one used).

+1 on the M-Audio Uno

I use one, have used it on dozens of systems too with no problems.
